Positive Displacement Principle
In a positive displacement pipette, the piston is located directly
inside the disposable capillary and comes into contact with the liquid.
Unlike a conventional air displacement pipette, there is no air cushion
between the piston and the sample.
This technology is particularly suitable for demanding liquids,
including viscous, dense, volatile or high-surface-tension samples.

pipettes are not compatible.
