Beckman GS-6R Refrigerated Centrifuge – Rotor/Carrier Configuration up to 3250 rpm
Offered for sale is a Beckman GS-6R refrigerated centrifuge from professional laboratory stock. The unit has recently been function-tested and showed smooth and stable rotor operation.
The refrigeration function was also tested. During our functional test the centrifuge cooled down to approximately -10 °C. The speed display, timer, lid interlock and brake controls were operated during the test.
The unit includes the pictured four-position swinging rotor with two closed bucket assemblies and two carrier positions. A maximum speed of 3250 rpm is documented for this mixed carrier configuration and is also consistent with the auction documentation supplied with the unit.

Condition & Functional Test
Used laboratory equipment with age- and use-related cosmetic marks. The unit has recently been powered on and function-tested.
The rotor runs smoothly and evenly. The speed display responds plausibly to the control setting. For sale purposes, the installed rotor/carrier configuration is treated as a maximum 3250 rpm configuration.
The refrigeration function was tested; the temperature indication reached approximately -10 °C during our test. This documents the functional test performed and does not constitute a current calibration or metrological validation of the temperature indication.
Rotor & Accessories
The installed swinging rotor has four positions. Two closed Beckman bucket assemblies and two carriers are included. The exact rotor model designation cannot be unambiguously confirmed on the present unit.
The installed combination is technically consistent with a configuration in which Beckman GH-3.8/GH-3.8A rotors equipped with Micro Plus carriers are limited to 3250 rpm. As the exact rotor designation could not be clearly confirmed on the offered unit, this model assignment is not advertised as a verified product specification.

Important Information
Mains supply: The nameplate of this unit states 220 V / 14 A / 60 Hz. The centrifuge was operated during functional testing. We have not verified an explicit manufacturer approval for permanent operation on a 50 Hz mains supply. The buyer must have suitability for their electrical installation checked by a qualified person before regular operation.
Functional test: The functions described above were checked in a practical operational test. No documented maintenance, electrical safety inspection, calibration or metrological validation has been performed.
Rotor safety: Permitted rotor speed depends on rotor, carriers, load, temperature and accessories. The applicable manufacturer instructions and safety limits must be observed before regular use.
